obligatory departure entry.
well, you all know (if you've been subscribed for a while) that i have an obsession with departure. the idea of departure. the concept. the actual act. the emotions associated. all of the above. so, this is the last evening i'm spending in my sophomore year dorm. i took my last final today and so, technically, i guess i'm a junior.. as long as i don't fail everything (not funny). i'm going to be honest with you... i don't have half of the emotions i had at the end of freshman year. honestly, no one whom i feel completely attached to is graduating. yes, close friends are graduating. mickey, will, mike, bill... i guess that's it? and it's sad but now i know, after being so emotional over departures last year, that i will see them all again. sooner, rather than later. i'll probably even see most of them over the summer. mickey may come to visit when julia does, and i will be back in state college for arts fest so i will see everyone then.
honestly, the only thing that made me actually sad was cass leaving. i can't believe how ridiculously close i've gotten with her over this year. we didn't even meet until a few weeks into fall semester and now i tell her everything! it was sad to think that we wouldn't see each other much over the summer, but she's definitely one of those people i can go without seeing for a while and still say super close to (see: daria, becky, jenna, etc). so that's not even too sad.
i'll miss my friends. but i'll have my friends at home. and i'll be super busy over the summer with two jobs (hopefully!) and the incredible list of things i want to do/learn to do.
i guess that's all i have to say. of course i'll miss this year, it was great, a lot of great stuff happened. but, we all have to move on. and this summer is going to be amazing.

Whaddup Xanga?!
Just feeling an update.. as you may know, I have a Tumblr but too many people I'm friends with in real life (especially here at college) follow it. And I really don't like to post things that are really personal there. Mostly just reblogs, and a few random things, and like reviews of shit I watch, listen to, and use. So here I am, back at faithful old Xanga. Ready to rant.
I guess I haven't written since March 1st, and now March is almost over. Wow. Time flies when you're having fun.. or I guess when you're not really having that much fun but you have a shitton of work to do. Hahahha. On the 2nd, there was PC.. that's all I remember. The 3rd was my 231 midterm, which went way better than expected! I got a B+, turns out. Then the sculpture club had an acoustic show at Jamaica Junction and a bunch of PC and SOMA went. Then we all went to Baby's after. And Cass, Amanda and I watched Teeth (Vagina Dentata!)
On the 4th, I went to theatre, then I got on a bus home to Jerz! Spring break!!! That night I ate a lot and slept a lot. I hung out with my parents a lot over spring break, but it was really enjoyable. I bought a ton of new stuff! Worthy mentioning- Sephora: Urban Decay Potion Shadow Primer in the color of "sin" (it's sooo shiny and pretty and keeps my eyeshadow on all day and night, without like.. creasing and shit), Tarte's "Lights! Camera! Splashes!" waterproof mascara (seriously guys, it stays on foreverrrrr and makes my lashes look long and beautiful! No clumping at all!!!! But it's a bit pricey.), I needed more Clinique Dramatically Different Moisterizing Gel (I like it better than the lotion, for some reason. I always repeat buy this because it's the best and really helps my dry-ass skin in the horrible snowy weather.. yeah, it snowed again the other day--wtf.) Forever 21: The cutest blue and white striped sweater.. it's really cute. The 21 store in the Freehold mall is super huge and bad-ass. Sooo everyone from home, go check it out! Shoes!: I got 2 new pairs of checkerboard Vans, and tossed my old ripped ones, finally!! They were buy one get one 1/2 off. So I got purple ones and like, black red grey and white ones. OMG! I got pink Tims. Seriously guys, they are perfect for me. Super girly, yet I could totally still get away with rapping Biggie while wearing them. I also got a few new pairs of jeans and simple shirts from Old Navy and like... some other stuff not really worth mentioning. Overall, the shopping over spring break was pretty badass. On friday the 11th, I went to dinner with the tennis girls! It was a ton of fun, and so nice seeing them all again finally! We had pineapple and taco pizza at Luigi's like the old days :) Then Daria and I got ice cream and hung out at my house, it was tons of fun. I missed her! I miss her now, too! Hahaha.
On the 13th, Ian drove me back to school and I had tea with Cass. Not much went on that week, there was a pc meeting and I went to all my classes but things were pretty boring up until Friday the 18th! I went to a photo shoot on top of the East Parking Deck with SOMA. Palmer took some seriously badass pictures! I uploaded some of my favorites! So look! Then Julia and I had dinner with Mickey. We then went to Ryan's for a little SOMA get together-- it was a tonnnnn of fun :) OH!!! And Marissa surprised visited us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the 19th, I met Cass's bf Braden, who finally came up to visit! We had lunch, explored State College, then a bunch of PC went to Kaarma for dinner. Then we pregamed in my room, and went to see Kyle dance in the Filipino dance showcase thing. He was great! Then we hung out more in my room and had doughnuts and shots for Carol's bday :) On the 20th, I went to CAC with Julia and Charlee. Uh, we worked on PC on the 21st... PC on the 23rd, SOMA open mic on the 24th, CAC "Arts Bazaar" on the 25th.. then we went to Bill's for an after party! Fun fun fun ! Terminator and kings 4eva. Yesterday was the 26th, and Cass, Kyle, Julia and I watched a weird-ass Thai horror film. Today I did work all day long and then had dinner with Cass and Kyle. Now I'm avoiding my hw and listening to the new Panic! album, "Vices & Virtues". I'm going to review it on my Tumblr later, once I listen to it a few times. I'm also fuming about a few things but I no longer feel the need to rant. So uh, thanks Xanga.. I guess.

Is love alive?
February was a trip. March, welcome.
I last wrote on February 10th, so I will pick up with the 11th. That evening I went to Swati's, I think life was okay-- I'm sure there was grilled cheese... like, actual grilled cheese, I swear. On the 12th, I think I did a lotta work. And had dessert with Amantha and Kyle in Redifer and we discussed.. life.. Hahaha. On the 13th, we had CAC. Then on the 14th, Valentine's Day, I had to write yet another essay. On the 15th, I had a lotta work during the day-- but once school was over, I cleaned my room, got takeout Rigatony's and then the girls all came over! Me, Swati, Amantha, Charlee and Cass ate junk food, gossiped and painted our nails. It was a good time :) On the 16th was PC. On the 17th was my date with a really cute boy whom I like far too much. The 18th was an absolutely gorgeous day. I ate lunch outside with Kyle. And had Saints coffee with Swati, Jim and Charlee for the PC officers meeting. Then I got ready and went back over to Swati's to gossip.. she cooked the girls dinner and then we collected Jim and headed over to Bill's. It was the best party I've been to in quite a while-- I talked to a lot of SOMA and did not get caught up in PC drama. I had a wonderful time, and had jalapeño poppers.. sigh. On the 19th my parents arrived! We had a great weekend together!!! I was sooo happy to see them. And then the night of the 20th, Swati and Cass came over and we hardcore gossiped... it was wonderful!!
Then on the 21st I went to an advance screening of Paul at the State Theatre. It was a little bit of a letdown, but it was still pretty funny. On the 22nd, I watched Glee with Ruth and Shannon then had stress food with Cass. On the 23rd was PC, and it was a depressing meeting at that-- I was miserable. On the 24th, I went to dinner with the girls at West then to the PC workshop and life was good. Talking happened and friendships happened. And that night magic happened. Then on the 25th I went to the show at Jamaica Junction with Cass and Kyle. Then we all went to a party at Amanda's.. bleh. Then more magic! And then State Patty's hell. I went to see The Beaux Stratagem with Diane. Then I had some fun with friends and ended up at UT for the night. Life is interesting that way. On the 27th, I got up early, showered and went to lunch with Cass. We ran into Julia and Jim. Then Julia and I went to CAC and then she came over after. We talked a lot.. we hadn't been hanging out as much but we caught up-- and things were good. I missed her.
Yesterday I went for sushi at Okinawa with the crew. Then we went to the new candy place downtown! Soooo wonderful! Candy and ice cream and free cheesecake. Awesomeeeeeeeee. Then I got coffee.. ridiculous. Afterwards I walked through campus for quite a while with the boy that I like too much. It wasn't too cold outside, all the snow is gone... it was just so peaceful, calm and beautiful. I forgot the beauty. I truly did. I feel better having remembered it. Then Cass came over and we watched Easy A, videos on youtube and listened to Green Day. It was a good day, all in all. Then today we got out of class really early so Swati, Charlee and I went shopping. I bought a necklace. Then we hung out in Irving's. First with Cat, then with Kyle C. After class I went to dinner with Amantha and Charlee. And now I'm finishing up some work and writing this. Plus listening to Winter Song. Listen to it. A lot.
